    Picture Schauer Phantom arrives

This near perfect Schauer Phantom Limited Edition out of 50, manufactured in 2006 recently made its way to me. I've always had an interest in single-hand watches.

It was sent with no paperwork, so I am curious as to the dial's composition, the 7420/4 movement, etc. Still working on capturing better images. The dial reflects the light that is cast upon it and it produces a beautiful sun-dial effect.

I sent a note to Jörg/Stowa, but I hope in the meantime one of you can shed more light on this beautifully crafted timepiece.

    Thanks in advance
    Glen

If I remember the Schauer timetable correctly the 2006 Phantom was first shown at Baselworld 2006, the Phantom was a limited evolution of the Kleine Schauer Einhand fitted with a Durowe 7420.

Other Schauer watches presented at Baselworld 2006: Sportstop, GMT Individual. The GMT was also powered by a Durowe movement.

Beautiful--I've always liked that one, but just wish the hand was a touch longer.

    Enjoy!

Awesome, Glen! That's an amazing looking watch. It's cool how it can look gold in one shot and silver in another. Any shots of the back?

Have fun with your new watch. I'm sure you'll get lots of questions and spend lots of time explaining how it works to people. ;)

Thanks for the info and the comments. The metallic dial and heavy blued hand really work well together. The kind of light and colors reflect off the dial and case - it's really very interesting.

I am not able to see the movement number inside, but I will post another image or two here later.

    Thanks for the kind words.

At Shawn's request, I managed to add a couple images of the 7420/4 movement on the original posting using slightly different lighting.
