    Strap 22mm 22mm
    Crystal 3mm 3.7mm

Is the ProDiver (functionally) simply an upgraded Seatime? They seem to share the same case. Is this correct?

You forgot to mention the helium valve and the different bezels and hands. Nontheless the Prodiver is a "better" Seatime. The development of the Prodiver goes back to Greg Bottle (Studio 808) who contacted Jörg to discuss modifications of the Seatime from a diver's perspective.

You will find the whole story here at the Official Jörg Schauer & Stowa Forum. Just make use of our search function (black balk).

Greg also designed the Prodiver web site, see here : http://www.studio808.co.uk/prodiver

yes the prodiver is basically a improved seatime, easier to read dial, larger hands, little different bezel and the case is thicker its 15.5mm on my gauge, automatic hev valve. probably heavier although i havn't weighed mine, and dont have a seatime.

but both great watches it just depends on what you want personally.

Thanks for the quick replies and your expertise. Mike - I'll search for the "origins of the ProDiver" thread asap. €126 for those improvements seems very reasonable, par for the course with Stowa.

My MO (polished, arabic) is getting lonely and I'm torn between the two Stowa sport watches and the Sinn U1. The users of these fora are making the decision that much harder - but in a good way!

Thanks for postingthis thread as I'm also torn in between both the Seatime and ProDiver.

    I own one of each...

Both are great sport watches but if I could only own one I'd narrowly choose the Seatime. It's almost an ounce/25g lighter than the Prodiver and because of the flatter case back it sits closer to my wrist. I like the dials and bezels on both models about the same but the hands on the Prodiver are easier to read.
