A small review of the Stowa Flieger B-Uhr DZVL-1 Limited

Here are some pictures from the parts of a limited Stowa watch.
The limited watch was made for a Dutch watchforum and the pictures below were posted on that same forum.

The base watch for the limited forum version is the Stowa Airman.
On the dutch watchforum the watch is called the Stowa Flieger B-Uhr DZVL-1 Limited.

    The specs of the watch:
    - diameter 40mm / 45mm (without/with crown)
    - thickness 11mm
    - ETA 2801-2 f=28800A/h (handwind movement)
    - saphire crystal (slightly dommed)
    - onion crown (5mm thick)
    - illuminated hands and dial with SL C3 (blue hands)
    - massive caseback with special encraving
    - limited edition serie of 5 pieces

A very nice detail is the onion crown

Wow! I wish Jorg would do another HW LE of that watch in 42mm.......

That would be very, very nice.

Very very cool watch. I like the hand winding movement.

Crusader reported awhile back that Joerg has a special Flieger with a manual movement in the pipeline to commemorate Stowa's 80th anniversary. That won't come out until 2007. Hopefully we'll know more next year.

Awesome Stowa . What was the cost of the watch if you don't mind me asking? I really like the case back! Jorg always makes very special forum watches.

I am hoping that the 80th anniversary handwound Flieger will be close to this particular edition, though I assume it may use the slightly bigger case introduced for the Marine Original this year.

And I am hoping for a full-metal-back option, too (for the toolwatch purists among us).
    Cheers,

It's a near perfect watch! Too bad I just missed this one... (this watch was created and produced while I was a noob on the DZVL forum...) I'm looking forward to the anniversary special comming in 2007...
