While it's tough to not get one of these beauties, it must be tougher for Jorg and Stowa to forgo all the potential business (especially in this economic climate).

Yes there's a separate thread praising Jorg and the company's handling of this matter, but it never hurts to do so here as well. So thanks to everyone at STOWA for bringing this to a fair resolution. You've got a fan in me!:thanks

IIRC there is a week time frame. Whoever 132+, they are know that they are getting one.

Yeah I'll second that, I already have three of Jorg's watches, with another on the way, and no doubt in the future I will have more. There are no hard feelings on my part, and as you say, its hardly a decision he has made because he could'nt be bothered! As a footnote the only other watch I own aside from my 3 stowa's is a battered old g-shock, so the force is strong with me!

Yea! I have a Stowa Airman no-logo that I'll be putting up for sale soon. :) It will be my first sale as I tend to not turnover watches very often but I won't pass on this opportunity!

For reference, my reservation number was somewhere in the 230's I believe.

    Dear customer,

    congratulation!

    Happily we can deliver an

Flieger Original with sapphire crystal and swan neck regulator

because of your placing on our reservation list.

Enclosed you will find our order form.
Here you can also select the requested strap.

We are planning to deliver the Airman Original before Christmas 2009.

At the moment unfortunately we can not state an exact delivery date.

Anyway the payment will be due short before delivery and we will inform you in time as soon as your Flieger Original will be ready for shipment.

You will receive our order confirmation in the next 14 days via email.

Best regards and have a nice weekend!

Didn't make it, though I am excited to be able to participate in the drawing.

I'm getting an FO3, which I am quite happy with given my reservation number was waaay up there. I wanted to get the massive caseback as an additional option in any case, so the FO3 is not that bad - and I'll have a MOLE II (eventually) as my display back watch.

I just got my 'Dear John' e-mail today---though at #987 I was expecting no less. No F01 for me, alas. Can I assume they'll keep the list of us left out and give us first dibs at the next go?
