Source for a reproduction grey Stowa Armee Francaise band?

I just aquired a first variant Stowa Armee Francaise watch and I dont want to use the original grey band. I'd like to know if there is a reasonably priced repro available somewhere.

    Thanks!

Have a look at this site:
WATCH BAND SPECIALIST - Watch straps and more from Watchbandcenter.com

    They have thousands of straps/bands,

    Jorge should do a re-issue in 41mm.

What would be the purpose of a re-issue? Stowa is not a contractor of the French Army (Armée française) anymore...

For information, these watches were a ''gift'' from Germany to France within the scope of the war damage in 1946.

They were used by our army during the ''Guerre d'Indochine'' (the first war of Viet Nam for those of you who refer to the american history).

Yes, I am aware of the history.
A nice watch nonetheless and one I am sure many Stowa fans wouldn't mind owning, even if it would be a re-issue and more updated to current trends.
I guess the purpose this time around would be for Stowa to sell it to the French rather that "gift" them as war reparations.
I would imagine that there may be a strong market in France as well as elsewhere throughout the world for these time pieces.

To have a contemporary watch with an old design and some history to go with it. There's already a "similar" Kemmner French style Military watch, so why not a Stowa follow-up ?

It would be an interesting "new" model from Stowa.

OP, why not using the original strap??

I would like to keep the lug size/ length the same, just slightly larger case with a screw down crown and new Durowe movement. Def. handwind and keep the hands, dial, and lens the same.
    Sigh, simple fantasies.

I would rather preserve the original strap. Since I've got the first model, the correct strap would be a thin one, without padding. While there are many excellent brown, black and tan ones out there, i'm hoping someone has seen a grey one. What is the lug width btw?

    Thanks!
