Stowa Ancre -who knows this watch? w. 6498 center seconds!!

    I recently bought this watch..

Looks like a 6498 type movement converted to center seconds..

-Pictures are not too good quality, but I'll mail some when I receive the watch..

Does anyone have any info on this watch ??

To me is does not look like a modified 6498 at all. Looks like a movement out of the 40ties.

    The 6497/6498 was introduced later.

    I agree with Mike.

On ebay I found this watch too and asked the seller to send better and detailed pics to my email address - no answer!

May be my email failed to come through, may be he had good reasons not to answer my question.......

I'm really interested in seeing good pics taken by you, Claus.

There are a lot of questionable vintage watches coming out of Eastern Europe these days.

Yep, marriages to phrase it in a polite way.

    Hi,

this movement definately is of soviet origin. It is either a Molnija or Slava.

Here is a picture of a Molnija 3608(A):

And now the pciture of the ebay seller:

Maybe you can find more information in this document:

If so - and I am sorry to say that - the watch is not worth 103 GBP. It is not even a STOWA
