Stowa Antea back to bauhaus Gender

Recently, I've become interested in the Stowa Antea back to bauhaus watch. I have one primary question: Is it for men or women? I am wondering about this for all configurations, but personally I am thinking about the 390 in green. I am a male, by the way.

Even if some colours and size are usually preferred by men or women, I think all Antea are rather unisex watches.

Regina Schauer wears a Stowa Chrono 1938. Unisex as well though.

Thanks, everyone. I think that cleared things up.

My next question: How do you get the watch without the date complication? On Stowa's website, the models are a 355 (hand wind) with small seconds hand, a 365 (automatic) with date, and a 390 (automatic) with date. But the website Time+Tide, in their review, says, "there are options with and without a date." If you go to their review, they show a green back to bauhaus with no small seconds hand or date. The photograph appears to be a 365 (you can see that printed on the case back), but they say they received a 355 in the review (maybe they made an error).

I'll partially answer my last question. Worn & Wound, in their review, says, "both the 365 (36.5mm case) and the 390 (39mm case) variants come equipped with an ETA 2824-2 top grade movement available with or without date."

I take it one has the option of a date or no-date in the 365 and 390, but how do you select that option? On Stowa's website you simply select the size; there's no option for date or no-date.

Even ignoring third party reviews, these photos are on the Stowa website in multiple colors:

    So there's 2 simple answers -

Either they've "run out" of the no-date dials and are only selling with-date 365/390 (unlikely) - or, more probably, there's an oversight on their web designer's part.

You should just contact them and ask - you can even order watches from them by just talking to someone there, describing exactly what you want, and having them send you an order number to pay through PayPal with the order number noted. They're a personal enough company that this is not uncommon - I've done it myself.

Plus, if it is an oversight on their web designer's part, I'm sure they'd like to know and get it corrected!

    Good luck.

Re: Stowa Antea back to bauhaus Gender

Thank you, krisrsolebury. I sent a message to Stowa and will update this thread when I get a response.

    Two more questions:

    1) Do you prefer the Antea back to bauhaus with a date or no date? Why?

    2) How does Stowa ship to customers in the U.S.? Do customers receive tracking numbers that work and let them know when exactly their package will be delivered?

By the way, thank you, stuffler, mike, for the nice photos.

    1) w/o. Form follows function. No date needed for Bauhaus.
    2) FedEx

Thank you, stuffler, mike. I agree about the no-date looking nicer.

As a follow-up, could someone tell me how the movement is made on the no-date? Doesn't the 2824-2 always have a date complication built in to the movement?
