    Stowa Antea color choice

    Hello everybody,

I plan to buy an Antea but I have difficulty to choose the color.

What I'm sure is that I take the blue screws.

But what about de dial, the hands and the strap

    1) Black dial + black strap / brown strap
    2) White dial + black hands + black strap / brown strap
    3) White dial + blued steelhands + black strap / brown strap

What's your favorite one. Certainly I must buy the two versions but I would buy the second one later.

    Thanks,
    Guarana

I have #3 on your list and also a black dial on the mesh bracelet.
    Love them both.
You'll be pleased however you decide!

Ahhhh, the sweet agony of choices. :-D

My Antea arrived yesterday! I chose date, cream dial, blued hands, regular screws, black strap. I love it! Also recieved 20mm Marine light brown strap as well. This I can use both on the Antea and my 1 week old Airman!

Chose blued screws on the Airman. Nice, but when I compare the backside of my watches, I don't find it to be worth 50 Euro. (How often do you or others study the back of you watch? )

Whatever your choice: you will be very pleased! :gold

I also had difficulty choosing the color combination. The "white" dial you mention is really a gentle cream color -- white with a little medium yellow in it. I thought that it would look good with the brown strap, since most of my watches are diver watches and have steel or black straps. I was right. Everyone I have shown it to has liked the cream dial with the brown strap. It is the most beautiful watch I own.

However, whatever combination you choose, I am sure you will love the watch.

I went for #2 - Cream dial (no date), black hands and brown strap. The Stowa straps a brilliant quality by the way. With so many combinations you are bound to get one you like.

I now have it on a burgundy croc-grain with deployment - they are very versatile!

    Re: Stowa Antea color choice

I Would go for #1 with black strap. The Antea with black dial is much more impressive in real life - the pictures do not show how nice it is. But I never seen #2 and 3 in real life...

However, I remember reading a post from a forum member saying

that he went to Schauer Factory, handled the tree of them, and finally chose the one with the black dial.

I would give more importance to the opinion of people that have handled the tree of them...(sorry, not my case)

    Kind Regards,

    Baptista

OK, here is my input. Take it for what it is worth, very little.

    1) Although I usually prefer white or off-white dials, for this particular watch the black dial with brown strap is perfect.

    2) About blued screws; If I had my way, I'd get the Antea without a display back. For some reason, I only like display backs on watches equipped with hand wind movements. I don't appreciate the aesthetics of auto movements and blue screws don't dress them up enough for my taste. So I say for this one, save the money.

Now, if it were the center second version, blued screws all the way.
