I assume you may have a smaller wrist if you’re wearing a 36mm fleiger. I fitted my 36mm Stowa Fleiger on my 6.25 inch wrist with a Nomos beige velour 18mm strap size small. It maintains the military aesthetic while also slightly formalizing the overall look. But most importantly the strap length is not too long.

You're right Booyunfat...6.5 inches. That's a good looking combination and I see what you mean about the length. It fits perfectly. Thanks for the pictures.

If you're looking for canvas I don't recommend the Barton Canvas, my black one got greyish pretty quickly.

Debasercl, I actually think that weathered canvas look might appeal to me occasionally...a super casual, more vintage tool-like look and feel. I saw your post on the "Who else is wearing Stowa today?" thread. Is that a Eulit Kristall Blue Perlon on the Antea? It seems to work well with the blued hands. I'm thinking it might work well with my Fleiger.

Yes, it's a Eulit Kristall Blue, the shade of blue is so cool and it complement the hands perfectly.

Yah, Kristall will basically always go with the clean, straightforward dial on a flieger. My Marine Arabic 40 is on perlon right now. The Kristall blue should work fine; also consider the black, for a very quiet, understated look.

I'd also consider Barton's canvas straps...in part because they use quick release spring bars all the time.

Could also go top-stitched suede...dark gray would be my first call. Informal but still stylish. (I'm rarely a fan of full-stitching on ANY strap.) Here's one; B&R has some particularly nice, uncommon suede colors:

Plus they do short lengths, altho their small isn't as short as some. Should still work. You don't want to know how many straps I've set aside because they're too long...wearing on the last hole or two never looks quite right.

And one last to mention. NOT cheap...but Nomos sells their fabric straps separately. Navy blue and a silver-gray. I have the navy blue on my Club Atlantik, and it's very comfortable and attractive...doesn't look cheap at all, like many nylon straps do.
The truth is rarely pure and never simple.

Thanks gangrel. I hadn't seen B&R before. They've got some nice options.
