    Stowa Flieger

I currently own the stowa flieger but am looking to buy (upgrade) to a flieger chronograph (manual). Are these watches too similar to bother selling my flieger to buy the chronograph? Also, can flieger chronograph owners share some pics/reviews (please).

No. No need to sell. If u want, buy the chrono. Never sell a flieger (which is super versatile) to fund another flieger (which is borderline awesome)

But they are very very similar...
Now I'm leaning towards the marine watch and not selling my flieger

Yes they are very similar to me too. The Chrono is thicker and also slightly larger at 41mm but overall very much the same. If you want chronographs take a look at Stowa's Marine Chrono or 1938 Chrono. Sinn 103 or Damasko DC56/DC66 are worth considering too. Basically if you prefer the Flieger chrono over the standard flieger then it's understandable to flip for it. If you want something different there are always other options. :)

    Re: Stowa Flieger

I sold my Flieger 6498 KS some weeks ago because I did not get used to the different colours of the superluminova dial numbers and the white numbers on the subdial. It´s just a minor issue for most people but the longer I got the watch the more I found it annoying. These days I received a Marine Klassik with handwinding movement and silver dial. It´s smashing how the blue hands moving on that silver dial...soooo elegantly is the second hand with it´s shadow on the dial in the sunlight. I have no regrets about swaping the Flieger 6498 KS to the Marine Klassik.

I bought my father in law a Marine for his 75th and it was so beautiful out of the box I nearly didn't give it him!
Good job I got it engraved :)

Can you please post some pictures of your watch?

    Thanks

    Re: Stowa Flieger

I love the look of the Flieger Chrono. For me, most chronos are too busy, while I find the Flieger A (almost) too empty. So the Flieger Chrono might well be the sweet spot for me...

Still debating height and functionality (30 min, no permanent second) though and would love to hear owners commenting on these particular aspects.

Bottom line is: Stowa makes a lot of great and desirable watches (also love the MO, but am more of a Flieger guy).

    Re: Stowa Flieger

They look practically identical except one is a chrono. No point in having two watches so similar...pick the chrono if thats the one you want and sell the other.
