Stowa Flieger on Catalyst Leatherworks strap

Catalyst Leatherworks strap, Horween Derby, cream straight stitch, 20x18 short (both pieces 5 mm shorter than normal, to fit my wrist and the deployant). The Catalyst straps are simply outstanding! Beautifully made, totally custom, a great price, and made and delivered quickly. (Sorry for the dust on the watch crystal - I was in a rush to take the photo.)

I love the strap. It looks like the one Tag Heuer uses on its Autavia chronograph. Top shelf.

Re: Stowa Flieger on Catalyst Leatherworks strap

Thanks! I wanted to use a deployant clasp, which I have on almost all of my watches, and the one I have "standardized" on using is the Axel Jost DF7 (from Freda Watchstraps) which doesn't come in a 20mm size for the OEM strap. The Axel Jost clasp has a section that fills in the gap in a strap where the tang would go for a buckle. And I think most watches look best on a strap that tapers, so I went with the 20x18. While I had previously used the OEM tan Stowa strap (short), the studs seemed to detract from the watch itself and I wanted contrasting stitching to pick up the dial markings.

Here's another shot with my limited edition Aerowatch chronograph on a Morellato strap. (I do love pilot's watches on brown straps! My Sinn 356 is on a dark brown Morellato strap like the one on the Aerowatch.)

Very nice. Really deep rich color.

Love deployants on all my straps as well, so it looks great to me.

That is really a solid looking strap! One doesn't a strap that oozes that much presence very often. I've thought about changing the strap on my Flieger but haven't made any decisions yet. It's very hot here which leads to sweat, which isn't good for leather so I'm really looking hard at Stowa's offer for a Milanese bracelet but can't decide yet, but I digress, thanks for the pics and sharing the info on your strap.

    Cheers
