    Thanks, and exactly.
The red touches are very nice, but I think that mixing the colors of static ("60", 12 triangle if they had it, etc.) and moving (the hands) parts in this case (very classic, traditional, small seconds hand watch) is a mistake.

Mixing the hands colors on, say, Damaskos, works perfectly fine, but Damasko, etc., have a very different design ethos than the Stowa MO does. Also, the scale of the Damasko seconds hand on a DA36 or DS30, etc., is much more in sync with the hour and minutes hands, so the contrast game really works there. Here, not so much. The Stowa seconds hand is already emphasized enough by having its own special home and scale on the dial.

I think Stowa would be better served by leaving well enough alone in this case, but I also have no doubt they will easily sell 100 of these pieces.

Here is a blued seconds hand / red 12 triangle PhotoShop mock-up also with the original image.

I would have liked this with the old logo.

I would only consider these classic models with old logo, not interested with the new one on the marine original and flieger.

    Yes, agree.
I do not dislike the new logo at all, but I do love the old one on my MO.

What I do wish is that the models with the old logo on the dial also had the old "S" on the crown, to be consistent, but I guess they changed that long ago?

My MO has the old logo on the dial, but the new logo on the crown (regular crown, not onion).
I see that the Partitio is the same.
Having the old logo on dial and the crown would be beautiful, on the "classic" models only as you said, and on some LE models.

But, perhaps Stowa never made a crown with the old "S"? I did a quick search on Google Images and couldn't find one, just blanks (onion) or engraved but always with the "new" logo.

    Mock-up:

Here are former L.E.'s (one with a red 12) and the original Deck's Watch.
The crown already wore the mentioned logo, as it was part of Stowa's brand image since 1958.

Volker, I remember that the "new" logo was in fact from many years ago, but did not know it was since 1958. Thanks.

Did Stowa even ever make a crown with the "old logo tilted S", or was the S always only part of the STOWA logo?

    NO, AFAIK

or was the S always only part of the STOWA logo?
YES, except of the first two or three years after Stowa has been founded ( est. 1927 ) - in the beginning there was a 'regular' S in STOWA or even no name/brand in the dial, but only in the back lid inside,

    They should.
I think that would be a beautiful crown, of course used only on the models that still have the old tilted "S" on the dial, and would give those models an even more special identity.

    Thank you.

(PS: "in the back lid inside" = "on the case-back inside" )

I prefer the current logo on the crown, but the old curvy S on the dial on the more traditional models.
