    Stowa Prodiver - Rhodium dial

    Hi there folks!

I received my Prodiver this morning and thought I'd share my thoughts -

I ordered the rhodium dial / black hands version from the U.S. A/D. I had the slightest bit of hesitation, in that I have normally liked the black dial in my diver's watches. That said, this one really surprised me - in a good way

The dial has a very deep and rich appearance and looks much the same as the photos on the WB website, as opposed to those on the Stowa site. I'd say that it is virtually the same shade of silver as the metal on the case & bracelet. I don't know if there may be two different silver-dial variations, but the rhodium is superb! The black hands show up nicely and I can see this working equally well for sport and dress situations.

Of course, all of the wonderful remarks that others have mentioned are present here as well; excellent craftsmanship, torch-like lume, and the very comfortable bracelet.

I am a recovering Rolex guy, but this has likely converted me to German watches. If any of you like the rhodium dial, but are "on the fence", I think you would be pleased with this choice.

I'd post photos, but the camera is DOA - I'll try to get some up when I can.

Re: Stowa Prodiver - Rhodium dial

I spent some time looking at it again in the sunlight (I'll get little done today at the office :-X ). I think "rhodium" is not accurate as a description - I call this color "wet cement" - it has more of that appearance and the tiny bit of texture or sparkle gives the dial a very rich appearance.

I just had the bracelet sized and the place that sized the bracelet is my local AD for Rolex, Breitling, Omega, Cartier, JLC, and other top brands. The watchmaker/sales manager was very complementary about my Stowa. He showed it to the other staff and all commented that it was beautiful and "what is it?" - needless to say, when I told him the price point on these he was very surprised. The way I see it, if jaded watch folks that handle the expensive products daily are impressed, Jorg has hit a 'home run" for sure with this one (or maybe that is "scored another goal" for our European friends )

I Also Have the Rhodium Dial

with the All black hands. It is a great combination and an amazing watch. Very Happy with it, and no plans to let go.

I'm guessing that there are only a handful of us rhodium dial folks out here - kind of cool to be "exclusive"

Heck, there can't be too many Prodivers out here either - I just received mine yesterday and I'm S/N 0187!

The combination of quality, function, looks, and exclusivity has to make this the deal of the year. If only to have known of the original Drednought......

yeah, it would be nice to see "real" pix of the rhodium dial ProDiver instead of all the stock Stowa.com and watchbuys.com pix. let's see em!
