    Stowa purchase question- US buyer

Hello everyone, I am looking at purchasing a Stowa watch and had a question about the process. I have read the forums and FAQs on his site but did not see what I was looking for. I live in the US and was looking for someone with experience purchasing from them. If you use the PayPal (with a credit card)option to send him the money does it get applied to to your account as a credit purchase or does it go as a cash withdrawal? I asked PayPal but they did not help me. Sorry if this has been asked before or seem like a stupid question.

    Thanks

Credit Purchase. FYI your credit card issuer may flag it as potential foreign fraud, at least mine did with all three times I purchased from Stowa, and you may have to contact the credit card bank to let the charge go through. The "fraud flag" is somewhat annoying, but I am ok with it for protection.

Bought six Stowas via paypal (I'm CONUS). Usually, partial (remaining funds) from Paypal account and the rest from either credit card and/or bank. Showed up on the credit card as credit purchase from Stowa, not cash withdraw.
Stowa's customer service is always 'Top Shelf' from my experience. Hope this helps.

    Credit.
like Doulos, I purchased using PayPal. Partial funds from existing PayPal balance and the remainder on the linked credit card. Showed up as a credit transaction, not cash advance.

additional info- I got dinged by PayPal for the $USD to Euro conversion and PayPal's usual fee. 5.9% in all. Don't know if it's any better, but next time I will look into a bank transfer. One poster here mentioned it was cheaper.

I'm in Australia, and paid via PayPal using my American Express card. Ended up being cheaper than a direct international bank transfer. My bank had a terrible exchange rate, and also wanted to charge me $22 for the transfer.

PayPal was faster and cheaper. Stowa staff confirmed the purchase via an email exchange only an hour later. IMHO the Stowa staff are very responsive - email them if you are unsure.

Paypal has it's quirks, but works the best when buying like this.
