I got the last black one!

I spoke to Jorg this morning and he said he wasn't going to have any of the black dial models with HE valves until mid-July. Thanks for the tip! Matthew at Watchbuys confirmed they recieved one piece of each dial color from Stowa on Monday, now they are both sold.

    Good Lord not Watchbuys....
I sincerely hope we'll always be able to buy through Jorg's Webstore!

Oh no... what have I done?

I just sent Jorg and email to verify Watchbuy's claim to be a legitimate authorized dealer in the United States... if he gives me the thumbs down I'll be sending the watch back.

In all honesty the price works out to be slightly less than I would have paid buying the watch outright from Jorg (exclusive of customs duties). I've never done business with WB before is there something I should know?

I'm sure they are authorized as they been selling Schauer watches for some time now. In any case, I'll continue to order my Stowas via the official Stowa web site. B-)

Didn't mean to alarm you Jake.
Watchbuys is perfectly legit and by all accounts first rate.
Just not fond of their elevated pricing and waitlists on certain brands.
    Sorry!

    Re: Stowa in the U.S.

I ended up canceling my order.

It's not that I had any fears about the source, I was more so concerned with the overal size of the watch; It seems like eveytime I hear about the PRODIVER the words "huge" and "heavy" are involved. I've worn big watches in the past but truth be told I have never even seen a wrist shot of the PRODIVER.

Watchbuys has a very "wordy" 3 day return policy thus I felt it best to do a little more research before going through with the purchase. When I called back to cancel the folks at Watchbuys were obviously not happy but they didn't give me too much grief.

I'll wait until Jorg gets some more in (mid-July) and go from there. It's still at the top of my short list but as they say patience is a virtue.

Watchbuys do have higher pricing but then again the dollar is really sinking against the euro. I wish we were back in the old days of the DM. Then we would have tremendous deals on all german watches.
