Wow, there is some demand for these watches. I too got on in September -08 and got no. 519 on the list. That means close to 60 watches (at least) ordered a month.

    Holy shmoly ....

No FO for me (due to my 6,3" wrist), but I would def. prefer the Automatic, while std by for FO.

It seems as though the number of people adding their names to the list is easily exceeding the rate of production.

I have a feeling that the additional size of the FO (seemingly much larger than the auto, despite the apparently minimal 1mm diameter increase), combined with my small 6.25" wrist, would likely cause me to bump the watch into other objects more often than I would like. It's difficult to know without wearing one for a while, but the 40" auto already appears fairly large on my wrist (without being overpowering), and is about the maximum I can wear without running into problems. I have a Seiko 'Black Monster' that I wear on occasion, and it tends to get bumped quite frequently while just wearing it around the house. Different style watch altogether, I know, but still...

Re: For those on the AO waiting list...

i am getting ready to pull the trigger on mine. i was surprised to find i was still on the reservation list. i put my name in long long ago. i figured that when i didn't respond (due to lack of money) within a certain timeframe when they sent the email about beginning production of the serial version, that they would just drop me eventually from the list. but i just found out that i am still on the list and technically number 44 (even though they have made many of the ones after that) and as soon as I place my order it should be ready in about 2 months time. they even said that there was no hurry and i could order anytime i want and still only have to wait about 2 months. i thought that was nice.

what i am wondering is, has anyone heard anything more about the special edition MO? i don't want to order an FO and then find out that I would rather have the new MO. i don't anticipate this being a real issue considering any MO is probably not going to have lume and I want lume on my watch. but just wondering anyway.

Well - to make waiting easier, I bought my first "waiting-watch" last week.

.. an now I'm wondering, what my next "waiting-watch" will be
