    On the waiting list!

With the arrival of my newest Oris (Big Crown Pointer Date) I realize that there is nothing more enjoyable than a fine watch. The more I began to read about Stowa (and past reading) the more I realized what a bargain they really are. Where else could I get a hand-made watch for about $400? Heck, the Oris was $550 and it isn't hand-made, yet it's still very nice.

    Couple Of Questions

    1. Do they regulate the movements or are they pretty much going off the normal 2824 specs?

    2. What grade 2824 (when not getting the COSC) do they use?

    3. I think I know the answer to this one, but we pay once it's almost time to ship, correct?

    4. Is there any AR coating by any chance on the Antea (Black or Creme)?

    5. Finally, with a near 8'' wrist, will the stock strap be long enough?

Oh, and BTW... this is the one I chose, although, perhaps I'll put it on a 3mm mesh later...

Nick, up to now you added 4064 posts to this forum and I wonder (and also hope you are now not angry with me) if this is the first time that someone replies to you:

The search function (and in case of your questions it might be even enough to crossread some threads on the first page of this subforum) will answer almost all of your posted questions.... (except No. 4 - the answer is imho no)

Haha, no anger here. I've did some searching on the Antea and I hadn't came across the strap legnth or movement grade, nor the AR coating. No harm mate.

    Re. the strap's length:
Send an email to Stowa, tell them your wrist's size and they will provide a strap long enough for you.

I don't know if there is AR, but I never needed it on mine if there wasn't. The stock strap is not long enough, so s=just tell them and they will send you a longer one.

    Cheers

Ahh, now I know why I found you in the seller's forum! I just received my first Stowa (MO) days before X-mas and couldn't be happier.

Congrats on your purchase! Wear it in good health!!

The strap is short, I have a 7-7.25in wrist and I wear my Seatime on the 2nd to last hole on the stock leather strap, should have picked the rubber strap instead.

Standard strap length will be tight for your wrist size, I ordered an XL strap a couple of weeks after I received my Antea. If you indicate you want an XL strap, it'll be slapped on at no extra cost by Stowa as far as I know.
