    WatchUSeek Special Editon

    Hi -

Here is a question that might be a tad heretical, but here goes:

Why does Jörg have any Seatimer WatchUSeek special editions left?

He made 100 of them just for us. Granted, Black face with red bezel is a statement, but it's a good looking watch! Limited to 100 means that there will be a higher value (ceteris paribus), but there seems to have been only 16 sold.

So why haven't those who bought the regular Seatimer bought the WatchUSeek special edition?

Even the price looks good, considering it comes with both bracelet and strap, as well as display back...

So, folks, what's the story here? Given the lackluster sales of this one, can we legitimatley expect a special edition, say, of the Prodiver for the folks here at the forum soon? Wouldn't make much sense for Jörg to do so...

I'll run away and hide now...

I own an "ordinary" Seatime with steel bezel and red bezel, bracelet and rubber band. I don't like the leather band that comes with the special edition and my red bezel has a luminous triangle (not that I need it but I really like it ). And unlike many others here I am no collector so I don't care much for special editions.

And last but not least every Stowa watch is something special

Don't underestimate the individual numbering printed on the dial. What watch brand or special edition offers a unique number on the dial like that?

But hey, there are so many nice watches out there, I will not blame anyone for not chosing the Watchuseek edition

    John,

In my case, the answer is very simple. I just don't care for the color scheme and wouldn't wear the watch if I bought it.

As I buy all my watches to wear and never as any kind of investment, the limited edition aspect is a non-issue and doesn't make the watch any more or any less appealing to me.

    Well,

I already got one out of a LE (watchbizz.de, 75 pieces). Another one would be one too much regarding the the easy-changing-bezel-thing :-D

Looks aside, its hard to argue that the WUS special edition isn't a good value considering what you get for the price. Stowa's strength is that they offer so much variety so most people can get something that really appeals to them. Some will choose the WUS SE while others will opt for the Yellow Chronometer and color combination of their choice. All in all an excellent set of options

I heartily agree that the WUS Limited Edition is a superb value and would never say otherwise.

Unfortunately, it's just not my cup of tea in the looks department.
