Just received this, my first Stowa! Picked it up through the recent ďspecial offersĒ and couldnít be happier. I donít know if other Ikarus owners would agree, but it seems really difficult to pick up the true essence of this watch in a photo. Itís very impressive in person! Especially the blued hands. And Stowa was really great in providing the strap of my choice and installing the deployant clasp for me.

Had one but recently sold it to cut down on all the watches I had accumulated. Itís a beauty, thatís for sure. I was sad to let it go.

And Iím actually going to sell a couple pieces to make room for this. A Stowa was a long time coming for me. Iíve been a fan for a long time. I ordered a classic black dial Flieger about 8 years ago and then got cold feet and cancelled my order, but I always kind of regretted that. Then last year I almost ordered it again as my first classic Flieger, but ended up buying an IWC Mark XV instead, which I absolutely love but still craved a Stowa. The Ikarus is such a unique piece that I donít think itís redundant next to the IWC. When it came up in the recent deals in the exact configuration I was seeking (manual wind/blued hands), I had to jump on it.

Stowa is one of my favorite brands. Have had a few. I still have a Partitio Blau and Marine Original.
You get great bang for the buck!

This one is not currently on my wrist but gets plenty of wrist time. My first Stowa. Expectations exceeded. I like the proportions. Thought it would be to Ďchunkyí on my 6.75 wrist but not at all. It looks and feels just right. Maybe even better than my Mark XVIII.

I am addicted to Jack-Foster straps. Small shop and great product. Came across them randomly and have them on most of my Pilots. Iíve got one on its way for my Mark XVIII LPP that Iím hoping will look nice. (I keep checking the mail box!)
