    Why an I so lucky?

I just received the most-anticipated watch currently in my collection; a MO with black German-made strap. It is fantastic!!! So, my question is around import fees to the US... I was not charged any import fees (duties, etc.), but I have read several posts from those in the US who were charged fees. What gives? Am I just lucky?

    Thanks,
    Dave

Such a beautiful watch - enjoy it always!

You are fortunate, but not that lucky.

You will receive a bill from FedEx shortly, as they will be passing the import duty fees to you...

I thought the same...but you will get a bill from Fed Ex. Mine came 3 weeks after I received my Airman. However, you are still very lucky....you got a MO dude!! Also, my Fed Ex bill was $14 (here in the GA). Worth it I must say from what I hear other countries are having to pay.

Ah, now I expect a bill. Crap! Love my MO - only disappointment is that it is non-hacking. Otherwise, this is a fine watch!

I was only charged about $25 for my MO so don't sweat it...

Your MO is beautiful. Hacking, it's over rated compared to the look of your watch! Wear it in good health.

You could get it modified with an " arret a 12 ", an automatic stop at "12". After pulling the crown the second hand runs on till reaching the " 12 " and then stops there.
I have some of these movements from Stowa, Steinhart and Guinand:

    Stowa:

    Steinhart:

    Guinand:

Of course, all of these watches are modified with central second hand too.

    e.g. Steinhart

    Happy new year,

I have to apologize for an error:
Last pic isn't showng the right Steinhart.
In the following pic the watch at left hand is the one with the modified central second hand, sorry.
