    5Actus 6106-8670 - Crystal removal

Managed to pickup on of these 5Actus 6106-8670 awhile back to play around with.

Currently looking to remove the scratched crystal from the case and find a replacement.

Accoding to the casing guide its a F-4 type for the crystal. Which means its held in place by a bezel ring. I am having major difficulties in removing the bezel ring that holds the crystal in place.

Any hints or tips appreciated. I have already tried but actually punching out the old crystal and even trying from the inside of the case.

    Help ;)

As an alternative, have you considered polishing the crystal in place? All you need is a rotary tool, wet paper and diamond paste on a wheel for the final passes. If no cracks the result is excellent.
My feedbacks here and on SCWF.
