    Adding Day Wheel to 6R15

I've added day wheels to 4R movements so I assume that it's the same process. I have a disc and the retaining clip, but do I need the actuator thing or is it already on the movement? I can't remember...

Re: Adding Day Wheel to 6R15

Answer found, thanks to Duarte - The Stock 4R36 doesn't come with the day dial, but it has the correct hour wheel, with the groove for the day c-clip. The NE15/6R15 have a smooth hour wheel, no groove for the day c-clip. So a new hour wheel is needed, day dial, c-clip and day corrector all need to be installed in a date only movement. You can use one from an hour wheel from a 7S26C, it is compatible.

Hey can you post pics? I wanted to do this as well, also wondering if your just getting a day/date disk for it or making one using the old dial and making a peep hole for the day.

There's a few different ones I wanted to do this too but I know it's a lot easier on Seiko movements than on anything else.

When I get all of the parts in I will do a tutorial. I am going to do a mod to a Sumo using a dial for a 7s26 so it will have the window already.

I wanted to do a tutorial on this but I didn't have the skillz needed to take pics and do the work at the same time. However I do have another one to do so I will do the tutorial the next time.

Which version of the 6R movement did you use? I’ve read the latest version of the 6R/NE15 wasn’t as simple as the older models.

Nothing has ever changed on the calendar side, adding day disk would be the same.

    From the tread linked:

Just looked at my recently sourced NE15C. It has the post needed.

Obviously my point was that they don't all have it... so buyer beware.
