I have a Citizen Ana-Digi cal.8982 which I bought when I was 16 years old. It accompanied me through high school and then one day, long time ago I took it in to get the battery changed and the "jeweler" had no idea what he was doing and ended up damaging the case back. I have bought donor watch on Ebay from which I'll use the case back, but I did also scratch the crystal when I was in school. This was 30 years ago. I want to bring this watch to a pristine condition as it pretty much is now, including the bracelet, but minus the front crystal.

I have managed to secure a replacement crystal. My question is, how hard is it to pop the old one out and put the new one in. Does anybody have advice/tutorial how to do it? Do I push out from the inside or outside? What about the plastic part beneath the crystal with the markings?

Would Citizen be willing to do this for me?

I should also note that this is the more rounded, more futuristic looking 8982.

Thanks for any advice,
