Angry Help with opening the case back to this vintage Citizen.

Hey everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this.

I've been trying to open the case back of this Citizen ana-digi vintage watch from 1970. I figured it was a screw in back case, but no matter how hard I've tried (I do have the appropriate tool), it just won't budge, which got me wondering if maybe I'm doing something wrong. So I thought I'd ask instead of trying to brute force it.

    Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!

I doubt you are doing anything wrong.

    I doubt it's a reverse thread.

I suspect time has locked it shut.

Very secure holding, a good non marking tool and more umph is required.
