    How to use Dial Dots?

Does anyone know of an instructional video that shows how to mount a footless dial to a movement using those round adhesive “dial dots”? Can’t seem to find one anywhere.

Short of that, any advice on how to do it properly?

They're basically just double sided tape. Find a spot on the movement that's as flat as possible without any moving parts. Install the dots on the movement, then line up the dial above it and press down.

I put them on the movement ring, that way I know that they wont touch any functional components on the movement. I usually use 3 or 4 and tuck or cut the edges off.

That’s a good tip about placement. And interesting that 3-4 is enough... would have thought more were necessary. Thanks!
