Just joined the forum this morning out of desperation. Looking forward to wisdom and knowledge from those who've gone before.
As I've been sucked in to the vortex of Seiko horology, I've been moving through and servicing calibers in ascending order of complexity. This weekend I'm attempting to disassemble, service, reassemble, adjust and get back into wearable condition a 6139B-6012 in rough shape I bought off eBay.
The problem I have is, after cleaning all the parts and putting them back in trays prior to assembly I found an "extra" part I can't identify and don't know where it goes (pic attached). I think it may be a Day-date Corrector Wheel Rocking Lever, part number
986617 but am not sure. The only servicing manual I can find online is for a 6139A that doesn't quite match off with my 6139B.
Can anyone help identify it and tell me where it goes back in the movement?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
