My girlfriend’s father passed down to her an original SeikoWorld Time (6217-7000) automatic wrist watch with etched dolphin back. The watch is the earliest version and alloriginal so she wants to retain it in original condition. I am hoping someone can help with thefollowing issue.
When the crown is rotated clockwise, the worldtime dial moves. When the crown isrotated counter-clockwise, the crown unscrews which also affects setting thetime. I removed the crown and there isno seal inside, the threads look good, and the spring is inside. The world time dial used to move in bothdirections and time could be adjusted in either direction as well. Her father took it in for the same issue andI think they may have just put crazy glue on the threads and it finally let go. Is there a fix for this?
