I purchased a Seiko sarb033 about a year ago. its now running about -30-40s/d. I took it to my local watchmaker who checked it out on the timegrapher. He reported the amplitude change to be to pronounce when comparing dial UP and DOWN positions. I was told it could therefore not be regulated and needed a full $200 service. I know the 6r15 has more accuracy variability than the ETA. Does this finding definitely mean something is awry with the movement?
