Last time I checked about a year or so ago, Laco had only 8 employees. They serve a very niche audience as well.
So my question is: how is Laco not a microbrand? And why do people think microbrand is something negative?

Edit: they had 8 employees in 2010 and 17 in 2016. Source: https://bnn.de/lokales/pforzheim/uhr...stadtjubilaeum

Eight employees? Then they have a very big building for eight people.

Currently 17 people with sales, marketing and all administrative matters on the first floor and complete production, commissioning and dispatch on the second floor.

Micro brand or not - Laco is one of the Big 5 (producing the original Big Pilot watch) with a great tradition and beautiful watches. That's what counts in my eyes.

I recognize LACO as a watch brand with tradition and numerous inovation. Langendorf Watch Co is one of the biggest manufacture at that time (they said), produced a very great Lanco Alarm, comparison is on par with vulcain cricket.

    I agree with Mark G:
    RELIABILITY, UTILITY, REPAIRABILITY

But Laco isn't Lanco and has nothing to do with it

Yup. Great watches and a brand with lots of heritage, so I don’t see why being a microbrand is anything negative at all. But it is a microbrand.

The positive side is if you buy a Laco, you are almost guaranteed to never have the same watch as someone else in the room.

I agree and that is why I bought a Laco when I was looking for a traditional pilot's watch.
