This Longines vs This Bauer and Mercier

Hi everyone, don’t really have much experience with watches. I have a Tag Acquaracer Chronograph in silver. Looking to add a second watch. Please help me choose the best watch and bang for the buck. The Clifton automatic Bauer and Mercier is at $2250 and the Longines Chronograph is priced at $3150.

    Hi,

Just to let you know, that neither of these watches are considered high end and therefore you will probably find what you are looking for elsewhere in the forum.

However, don't worry so much about your criteria, buy the one you like the best.

    Vintage Omega Geneve

Both are good watches but longines gets my vote for the added functionality and complication of the chrono...the baume is rather simple while the longines Carrie's a more interesting look too in my opinion...happy hunting 🙂

I can think of no use for a stop watch. BUT a lot of use for a rotating bezel.

"Best" is not a simple question. To help us guide you, what features in a watch are important to you?
For example - cost of servicing (required in ~ 5 years), water resistance (Clifton wins), thickness (Clifton wins), diameter, sportier vs. dressier (Clifton wins).
