On Thursday 26th September 2019, during the Monaco Yacht Show, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation will hold the third Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean, a major fundraising event in the heart of Monte-Carlo, in order to support its worldwide initiatives in favour of a sustainable Ocean, a crucial issue calling for immediate and collective action.

Presided by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and founded by Global Fundraising Chairman Milutin Gatsby, the Gala will conclude a week of activities dedicated to the health of our Ocean. In bringing together global philanthropists, policy makers, business leaders, scientists and celebrities, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and his Foundation will once again take the lead to bring solutions to scale and address the existential crisis facing the world’s Ocean and its impact on our climate.
All proceeds from the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean and its auction will support the Foundation’s Global Ocean initiatives, including the development of marine protected areas, the protection of threatened marine species, the mitigation of the impact of climate change and acidification on the Ocean as well as and the fight against plastic pollution. The Foundation has donated more than 55 million euros to initiate or support more than 470 projects around the world.
The funds raised will enable the Foundation to pursue and scale up its priority programs. Under the hammer of world-famous auctioneer, Simon de Pury, invaluable artworks, stunning jewellery and experiences of a lifetime provide significant support to the Foundation’s projects around the world. Among the most memorable lots, unique experiences offered by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and international artists including Madonna, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mick Jagger, Toni Garrn, Kelly Slater, Andy Garcia and Andrea Bocelli and exceptional artworks from iconic artists including Jeff Koons, Piotr Uklanski, Doug Aitken, Francesco Vezzoli, Andreas Gursky, Julian Schnabel, Frank Stella and Pablo Picasso. During the auction, unique vehicles will be sold from Aston Martin, DaVinci and Vita. Magnificent jewels from Giberg, Chopard, Richard Mille, Ortaea and Faidee are also included in this prestigious auction.
