Vacheron Constantin: Jubilee 1755 or Patrimony 31 Day Retrograde??

So I am taking the journey down the VC path....and I am at a crux deciding between these two models:
Jubilee 1755 vs the Patrimony 31 Day Retrograde. The Jubilee is a limited edition model, will certainly cost more, but not sure if it is worth the extra investment. The Patrimony has a beautiful retrograde function, and both watches have the day and date dial function, which is what I am looking for.
Does anyone have any experience with either watch? Opinions?

I prefer the VC retrogrades over the Jubilees. There are quite a few variants and the most recent version is my favourite, albeit it's costly.

Not my cup of tea. If I were into buying a VC, I would probably looking for the American 1921.

Investment, not a word to be used with watches.

Thanks for all the feedback guys...setting me on the straight and narrow.
Perhaps I need to do more research.

The 1921 never caught my eye, can't get used to the tilt.

Actually I think the 31-day looks fine and I would be happy to own 1. That said, why not check out the Patrimony Traditionelle series? I was initially very attracted to the Patrimony Traditionelle small seconds (but finally went with the Malte Grande Classique for the smaller size). The platinum one feels/looks incredible while the white/rose gold ones are no slouch either. The 4400 movement does not lack horological prowess and has the cachet of an "in-house movement".

Agreed, the Patrimony Traditionelle small seconds is a gorgeous watch and a perfect dress watch. However, I was trying to find a watch with the day dial and date dial, as this is what I am constantly looking at at work for follow up appointments (prefer no cutouts in the dial).
Did you get a Patrimony Classique? Pic?

The Jubilee was attractive to me for some of its gorgeous design cues - guilloche dial, blued hands, the 1/4 Maltese cross shaped lugs, the Geneva seal, signification of celebrating its 250th anniversary.
It also houses their first in house automatic movement, caliber 2475.
Also limited to 500 pieces per gold (250 platinum).
