    Vacheron Constantin - need help

Hi all. I am new to this an no watch pro by any means.

I came to own this watch - as I found out a really fine watch. I need help finding out what it really is. I read up a bit on Vacherons history, rear says it is an Overseas but to me it looks like a Patrimony watch. I believe it's self-winding version because I got it to run by basically doing nothing, and it's very thin. No, I did not open the back to check on the mechanism nor any numbers. It looks like someone already tried that at home and put a big gouge in it.

I'd like info on what it is, where in Chicago area I can go to have it serviced/checked-out and what possibly it might be worth. Thanks for any help. Name: 20191022_214011.jpg

    Looks like neither.
    It's a fake.
    Sorry.

They have used a Daniel Wellington case to make a Vacheron Constantin...

Fake but please post pics of the movement. The case back opening looks so small that I would not be surprised that there is a Chinese/Japanese quartz movement inside.

Probably not worth the effort though. Most likely it has a cheap Sunon quartz movement like those $2 Daniel Wellington "homages" found on AliExpress. At least the case is exactly the same. And probably it doesn't have a proper notch to open the case so you need to use a sharp knife to do it. Someone has apparently tried based on the nasty scratches.

If it’s running, hold it up to your ear—if you hear one tick every second and silence in between, it’s a cheap quartz movement. In any case, clearly not real.

Ahhh, too good to be true I guess. I'll look inside and post pics. Thanks for all your replies.
