    Alternatives to a Movado Museum

I am contemplating buying a Movado Museum for certain formal occasions, say, cocktail parties, black tie-weddings and such, as well as the occasional "club night". The reason why I have considered this particular watch is that I like the its minimalist design, classic look, and conservative size, and it comes at a price that I can justify spending for a watch that won't see as much wrist time as my other (nicer) watches.

Do you own one? Did you consider other options?

For those unfamiliar with it, here is a picture for reference:

I don't believe there are any alternatives to Movado's "Museum Watch" affect; probably patented design.

    Good luck with your search.

Don't want to risk further punishment from the overloads (this isn't actually a democracy) but if you search for

Obaku - HAV NIGHT (especially if you can find the older versions)
Orient - Class (many models, some very similar, but with a date at 6 o'clock)

There are others... just have to snoop around.

You are right. The closest I have found to it are some FC, RW, and B&M, but none as clean looking.

I almost forgot about the Orient Class, it definitely is nice option to it. Obaku reminded me of Skagen - I may look into those as well.
