    D.Wellington vs Brathwaite?

My wife wants a new watch and is interested in a DW. I told her to check out Brathwaite for a similar style due to it's sapphire crystal. Any thoughts from the forum?

    I like Brathwaite's marketing better.

Yes, that's true. Click on their banner ads one time and my browser is forever haunted with them. But yes, it looks like a slick company and probably a good product too.

I got my fiancee a Brathwaite, its pretty solid, I wasn't a fan of the leather strap, it seems too stiff and hasn't broken in after a while but the NATOs are nice. Three of her girl friends ended up buying Brathwaites too, haha.

Thats great! Did your fiancee get a standard 40mm or did they get the new 36mm ladies version? I'm worried 36mm might be too small. Any other thoughts on the watch? I'm really tempted and her birthday is in November.

I can't tell anything specific on Braithwait, but DW has more contras than pros, in my opinion. Straps are pretty good and design is more attractive. Don't like hands of classic Braithwait and it's the only difference in design between them. But it looks like DW offers poorer movement choice as Braitwait houses Swiss quartz at least. I used DW for some time and it was running late quite often. The biggest disappointment is the case coating — it wears off too soon, unfortunately. So if you don't mind Braitwaits hands design, i think it's more attractive choice.
