    Feedback on Nixon Regent

Folks I know Nixon is a fashion watch but they're local to me here in San Diego so I always wanted to get one for my collection I really like the look and size of the Regent - 70s style case and minimalist design that I believe will look good for years to come

A lot has been said about the cost as many feel it's way overpriced for the actual fit, finish, and movement - a 26 jewel Sellita ETA clone if my memory serves me correctly

These are now often on sale and I've seen them sell as low as $500 at times This is still a lot of money for a fashion watch, but my question is if this is a better value In other words I've looked at watches with similar specs in the $500-900 range, so is $500 for a brand new Regent a reasonable price for what you get?

Whether you like Nixon as a brand or not, what do you think about a $500 price for a watch with these specs?

Lastly if you have one of these, I'd like to get your real life feedback on these Thanks!

The Sw 220-1 has 26 jewels, not 36.
Tissot or Mido with ETA 2836-2 would be an alternative to consider.
    Kind regards

Yep, 36 was a typo. I've seen the Tissot and Mido and they're nice. I guess my question is what do you think of the Nixon compared to these offerings at a price of $500. Is it a comparable watch at that price? Or do you still think it's not worth that kind of money considering the options. I do buy what I like, but mostly I buy vintage and I've got a couple of Rolex. I'm really looking at the Nixon because they're local to my neighborhood and I always wanted one. I guess I can get a cheaper model used for $100 or so, but I was curious to know if the Regent was a decent watch... not for $900-$1200, but for $500. Again, any feedback is appreciated. Best.
