Help identify and fix this Belair watch

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I didn't know where else Belair should go.

I've had this watch for about 12 years. I forgot that I had it. It's been in it's box with the original battery in it all this time, so when I found it obviously it was dead. I had a new battery installed today and it doesn't seem to be keeping very good time. It keeps loosing time. When I watch it I notice that the second hand keeps locking up. It will jiggle but stay on the same second for several seconds at a time.

Is this due to corrosion from a leaking battery? Is there anything else it could be? Is there a fix for it?

Also, can anyone identify the model and possibly tell me what it would be worth if it was in good working condition?
Case is titanium and the band is real leather.

Re: Help identify and fix this Belair watch

After resetting it again around 6:25 last night it now seems to be keeping good time.

Still would like to identify model and price though.

    Thanks for any help given.

A few days later and I'm happy to say that it's now keeping perfect time.
Maybe quartz movements get sticky when left unpowered for a while and need to "break in"??

Still would love to find out what the model and value are.

    Any help?

New watches sell from 200 to 480. yours seem to be discontinued. Comparing ebay results you might fetch from two figures to three figures. Not much sought after.
    Kind regards

Thanks for the help. I went to eBay but since I don't know what the model # is I couldn't find any that looked the same.
Searching for 'Belair watch green band' wasn't very elucidating. :)

At least I've got a starting point. Maybe I'll call Belair directly and see if they can help me.

Touch the the AC post and the battery to reset the watch.

    IMO, sentimental value only.

Got some info from a very helpful lady at Beltime.

    The watch is indeed discontinued.

The style number is A9350/S and the value in 2000 was $120.

Think I could get $100 for it on the bay? I'm just a few posts away from being able to post for sale here, but until then...

No way. 1/3 would be reasonable and as I stated before: not a collector's item and not sought after, so it will be difficult to find someone interested.
    Kind regards
