Help on Nixon 51-30 chrono metal bracelet strap

    Hi All,
I'm a super newbie in this forum.
Pardon me if this is not the right place to ask such questions.
And I hope you could direct me in the right direction.
I have a 2nd Hand Nixon 51-30 Chrono 300M stainless steel with stainless steel bracelet strap and the clip.
However I would like to change the strap to a leather one which I'm doing on my own but still retaining the metal clip.
But I am able to remove all the pins except for the clip section (the one with NIXON Lable. It seems that it's fixed and can't be removed.
Hope u guys can help me out!
    Have a great weekend!
    Faz

Pictures would help here... I have no idea what you mean by "the clip" and what you're trying to transfer from the bracelet to the leather strap. Are you able to remove the bracelet from the watch in the first place?

Obviously 'clip refers to the buckle/clasp. Fastlee84, have you considered the fact that leather and water do not mix? Since you have a 300 metre rated watch, it's best to keep it secured with something that is at least water resistant. Alas, if you want a Nixon branded buckle, have you tried searching eBay for OEM Nixon leather straps? I don't think it's possible to transfer a buckle from a steel bracelet to a leather strap.

That's the main reason I wasn't certain exactly what was meant by the "clip". I thought perhaps it could be a deployant of some kind, similar to those on leather strap. But as you said, the leather strap clasps or deployants are usually much different than metal strap ones, and won't work.

Pics would definitely help but if it's what I'm thinking you may be able to cut the pins and replace with spring bars. I'm assuming you are going for something like this? Pic from google images.

If so, it's possible but make sure the leather strap is long enough. The deployant clasp for leather straps is usually longer than ones found on a metal bracelet.
