my 2 fossil watches are having scratches at the same place

    Hi
i bought a rose gold fossil watch 3 months ago and it was beginning to discolour after only 1 month on the band underneath. I didnt think it was normal so I went to a jeweler and she told me it was rubbing on a desk and that its not covered by garanty. then i didnt bother since it was only doing that on the bottom and its not very visible.
Then I bought a silver watch at fossil because I loved the design and thinking since its sterling silver it wont tarnish or scratch easily. Now, its been only 2 weeks and Ive noticed the same white scratch at the same place as my other watch!
i dont understand why its only happening on the bottom and why it is happening because i am really careful and dont work at a desk all day. It doesnt bother me that much because its only underneath but still... i was expecting better quality and want this to stop happening!

Someone knows why this is happening? ?
I uploaded a picture so you can see the white mark..
    Thank you!

The shite marks are usually from the band hitting something. Usually your wrist smacking a desk. Although it doesn't seem hard, it will put scuffs and marks into cheap bands. I would consider a leather band if you'd like to stay with cheap made designer watches, or look into a higher grade watch with quality stainless steel.
