    Salvatore Ferragamo Lungarno Automatic Chronograph

    Hi WUS!

I want an opinion from the group because I recently purchased this timepiece and felt that it was advertised deceptively. On the marketing material, the movement appeared to be highly finished with Cote de Geneve, Perlage etc. associated with a high end watch but on the actual watch the movement is an ebauche movement. I feel somewhat dismayed and contacted SF if they would consider making this right but they have so far offered no assistance apart from advising me to contact the AD. Feels like the 318 incident. What would you do?

First of all. This watch is not high-end. It is a made in Switzerland private lable product with an out of the rack movement for an unjustifiable price. A nice finish and the label SF still would not make it a high-end watch. Same valid for the perfume which is PLB as well.
    Kind regards

My concern is not that it is high end, I know that SF is not a Tag let alone a PP. I felt that the finish on the marketing material (which is indicative of a higher end movement) is not consistent with the watch received and I'm wondering what wus members have done in the past when in a similar situation.

Grade of watch aside, It does appear that the watch illustrated is not the same model/decoration levelyou received.

Perhaps there are multiple SF watches with different levels of finish?

That to me seems deceptive as well. I don't know that it would bother me too much, but if so, I'd return it.

Good luck and keep us posted

Same watch ? Same ebay advertisement ? If so: Movement clearly is not decorated.

Maybe it is some sort of pre-release render? It often happens before actual manufacturing. Thanks for posting - I wanted to go for this one in limited edition version blue-gold (but maybe it is decorated instead of strap one?). No it's not my choice.
