What movement is in a kenneth cole kc 8101 skeleton ?

A friend recieved one for Christmas.

    Intersting watch

It's a fashion brand, but it has an automatic movement.
.odd thing I noticed was that the rotor does not revolve smoothly.

I believe they use Sea-Gull. Definitely Chinese - and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, just stating a fact.

Take a picture or post the model number so we can tell ya!

Mine used a Sea-Gull ST1601K, but different models feature different movements.

It's definitely a ST16 based movement, but I wouldn't be able to give you the exact model. Your friend's skeletonized version is cosmetically different from the ST1601K.

The Chinese mechanical forum would be able to be more precise.
