    Question on L4.874.4.52.2

    Hello,

Does anyone have this watch? It's the Longines Flagship Auto with Black Dial L4.874.4.52.2 calibre L619.2 and I can't find much from other owners. To my tastes, it's awesome as I prefer simplicity with quality i.e. elegant but would love to know more about it. Cheers.

Oh, didn't see from cursory search with that model #. I don't know what gets me about it; suppose it's how simple it is. Prefer black dials and the movement is a champ I've read. Should be a keeper.

Burnt, thanks for the reply... that is gorgeous to me. Is it in fact 8mm height from the wrist? Skeleton caseback, yes? And how is that 30m water resistance? Seems like a light watch.

Yes, very thin although I havenít measured it. It does have a display caseback and itís very light. Iíve gotten it wet plenty of times without any issues. Additionally, as all surfaces are polished itís easy to remove scratches.

That's great- thanks again for the reply. Yeah, I was hoping it's somewhat thinner than most automatics and lighter as well, though I was concerned about its water-resistance; thanks for sharing your experience with it. Ordered it from Jomashop grey market... let's see how the black dial version looks.

    Cheers!

Excuse the double-post above... don't know how that happened.

In any case, to close the loop on this as it were--not that many are interested in this piece--I received two of these Longines L4.874.4.52.2; one from Joma and the other from AuthenticWatches. It turned out that the latter was the better piece as Joma's had some obvious defects under the crystal. The other one is nice, got it at a good price, and I'm going to wear it every day!

Other option was to go to their boutique in NYC, and they told me that this model has been discontinued and replaced by Longines L49744522. This new iteration of their flagship auto wasn't available on their e-shop, though.

    Cheers.
