A Happy Happy Mod Ending 😊😎

So today I was looking for mod parts for my Mako and Ray. Watched several videos on bezel removals and sent a few emails regarding fitment. Then it hit me! Why not swap bezels like I saw someone do it here! Besides, I have a Pepsi bezel on the wrong watch!
So I got some tape, a knife and my watches!
The Mako was first...easy peasy lemon squeezy!
Bezel was off before I knew it! Pepsi off...
    Next up...Ray...
Taped it up, cause I don’t want to hack it up y’know?!
So I started the job...after 15 minutes of struggle and questioning my decision and nearly cutting off my hand, it finally came off. Tape was scraped up as was the case 😢 but hey, I got the Pepsi on my hacked Ray. Yay 😐😕 I want to be happy...I really do, but disappointed is more fitting.
    Now...for the embarrassing pictures.

Sorry to learn about your difficulties. Did you apply the tape to the blade or the case?

On the case, I was even able to slide the tape in between the case and bezel thinking it would help somehow.
I think I may have had underestimated how easy this was going to be after the Mako bezel came off in under 8 seconds. Now I’m gonna be thinking twice if I want to do this again.

Ok, so after replaying my failure last night and feeling defeated by a bezel. I gathered myself and could not take the L. I gotta have the W!
So I took my Pepsi bezel off my Ray. It didn’t take as long as the first time.
I grabbed my scouring Brillo pad and my fine grit block as a ultimate weapon. Brillo pad did an ok job getting rid of the fine metal rubs. I had to use the block on the deeper scratches. But there’s a hair line scratch I chose to live with. It looks back to new with a single scratch that says “hey, I get worn by my owner”. I am happy again!

Nice work. I wondered if you would tackle the case rubs. If you consider how many Invicta mods remove the brand stamping from the side of the case cleaning up and buffing out the rubs is easier.
