I can't take credit for the photo. I found it on the Web. The watch does predate the Mako and Ray - I remember them coming out after I had it.

The Orient "Sub" fits nicely on my 6.5“ wrist.
    These are just under 40mm.

Very nice watch, the submariner heritage is obvious. Beautiful example, looks immaculate, must be close to 15 yr. old

Different brand, but the Hamilton Khaki navy scuba might be worth checking out. It is 40mm on the dot and is very sharp

It may only be 40mm but it has a lug to lug of 51mm which is huge for a case of that size. I would have one if it weren't for the lug to lug distance as I'm a fan of the H10 movement. There a lot of 40mm or smaller watches with long lug to lug lengths. Anything mid-tier that Swatch makes (Certina, Hamilton, etc) has lugs that are too long for my wrist so be sure to do your research before making any purchases.

    I hope that helps.
