    Orient Mid-sized Diver

    Hey Y'all,

Does/did Orient make a mid-sized diver ever? Looking for something under 40MM. Hope you are well.

Only model diver I know of that is under 40mm would cost upwards of $200, the Seiko 007 or 009.

Orient divers aren't that big. They measure big, but wear small. The bezel really compacts the size, so even my skinny 6.4 inch wrist can handle it.

The Seiko SKX007 is 42.5mm. Maybe you meant the SKX013? Which is 38mm.

Yes, I think that's the one.

Orient did produce a mid-size diver, probably in the 90's. Might have been quartz, might have been a Tri-Star variant.

I second this. I have a 6.5” wrist and my Mako USA II wears great on my small wrist. The Mako/Ray/Kamasu wear much more like a 40mm watch with short lug to lug length (47mm). I also own a Seiko SKX013 which admittedly wears smaller than the above mentioned Orient divers.

Going through the Orient forum and reviving semi-zombies. The Snorkler (often spelled Snorkeler) is (by my measurement) 39mm. You can sometimes find one for sale, but they're getting pricey. I've had a blue one for ten years or so.

By the way, I've got a Mako USA II, which looks just fine on my 6 1/2 inch wrist, and several Mako XLs, which look okay too.

    Walpow,

Great pic. I believe that model has also been dubbed the 'submariner' by some. My understanding it pre-dates the Mako/Ray.
