JLC Master Control 18K, no booklet, winding tips!

Hello! New member to the JLC club here. I have this new (used) beauty, but with no booklet, and am looking for the proper way to wind it (ie. set the date, etc). Any resources out there on this would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to the family! The pushers on the side should be what advances the date and month. The day you will need to advance manually. That's how it is for mine at least!

Thanks! Yeah, the sales guy showed me there was a way to adjust the day without rotating the hands all the way around, but I was in a rush and thought I would get a booklet to clarify further, though I did not.

The JLC website has pdf manuals for download. You will need the model number from the case back.

That doesn't look right. The engraving is really poorly executed. And there looks to be a coating thats peeling off near the lugs. What happened to all the factory JLC markings, like SN, model number, 1000 hour calibration marks etc. I would get that watch inspected and authenticated ASAP as there appears to have been some modifications. Movement and dial look OK. And no, I don't think its 18K gold. Is that corrosion on the date indicator?

This is what yours looked like when it left the factory. Its SS not 18K white gold. No display back or hinged cover
