    Milestone Birthday Watch

Hello, all. I have a milestone birthday and another good occasion coming up soon and have been on the lookout for my present (from my wife and kids). We've narrowed it down to the following three options:

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Large Small Seconds
    https://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/us/...l/3858520.html

    Cartier Drive de Cartier
    https://www.cartier.com/en-us/collec...ier-watch.html

    Cartier Drive with Small Complications
    https://www.cartier.com/en-us/collec...indicator.html

I cannot get the images to copy-and-paste into this post for some reason.

I know that this is a JLC forum, but what are your thoughts among these three?

    Thank you for your opinions!

    Re: Milestone Birthday Watch

I've never been particularly fond of the Drive de Cartier - it just doesn't do it for me, without me being able to articulate properly why.

    Santos: yes.
    Tank: Oh yes.
    Tank Americaine: definitely.
    Drive? Meh at best.

I've been lusting for a Reverso for ages - its lines, its history, the dials, ... It's an icon, and it exudes class. What more can I say?
If it were for my wife, it would be the Reverso.

Reverso is definitely a special watch, out of this 3 definitely a Reverso. There are couple other Reversos out there that might catch your eye as well

Orient Star Retrograde ( black ), Hamilton Intra-Matic 38mm ( white ), Orient Ray ( blue ), Orient Bambino ( black/rose gold), Vostok Partner ( gifted after 2 years of wear and receiver is as happy as I was when I first got it ), Citizen Eco-Drive BM8240-03E.

I've tried on all 3 at various times. Truly, you can't go wrong with any of them. The Cartier w/Small Complications seems a bit busy to me, but that is just personal taste. Pick any one of them and be happy!

I do own a Reverso and I can say that it is a very good watch, most preferred on the list.

Reverso, but you must try it on before buying, as finding the correct size can be difficult.

All good choices, but I prefer the Reverso. As others have said, make sure you get the right size for your wrist.

    Re: Milestone Birthday Watch

Thank you for the input. I went with the classic option:

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Large Small Seconds
    https://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/us/...l/3858520.html

I very nearly went with the blue Tribute version:

    Reverso Tribute Small Seconds
    https://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/us/...e/3978480.html

However, my wife convinced me that the classic silver dial and black strap will be more versatile and I could wear it with just about anything.

The watch arrives today. I'll have the case back engraved and will work the engraving process next.
