PSA: JLC will extend current 2 year warranty to 8 years. Bravo JLC

Props to trhall for mentioning this in another thread. Just think this needs its own post so no one misses out. Major announcement IMO. Any watch currently covered by 2 year international warranty can register it after May 15th and get an additional 6 years warranty cover.

I'm actually more interested in what they are doing for the additional services (if that can be at an AD or needs a boutique). Not sure if there is an additional cost to being part of that club yet either reading their website. I guess we'll find out on May 15 exactly what it all means.

I absolutely love JLC watches and with a 8 year warranty I see a future shift in the watch fund allocation. IMO hard not to like the brand! Thoughts anyone? Will 8 years become the new norm?

I like several of their watches and at some point hope to get a MUT.

That is extremely cool. Kudos to them and frankly their parent company too. Not something you usual see in the overly-corporate world

Just registered my MC Sector dial chronograph and extended my warranty to March 2026 free of charge. Probably not transferable but yet to confirm this. Impressive.

Glad to hear you've registered. I tried but it seemed to error. Same thing when I registered on their original site. (On a Mac using Google Chrome)

Looking forward to hearing if you confirm the transferability if the warranty!
