    Linde Werdelin range reinvention

    Hey team!

Was having a chat with 991C4S today, and the topic was surrounding LW's latest pieces and the price points they've been released at. These are the two in particular that have caught our eye:

    HTML Code:
    https://lindewerdelin.com/product/oktopus-deep-sea/
    HTML Code:
    https://lindewerdelin.com/product/spidolite-carbon/
Personally, I think sub-10k is the sweet spot for LW and so welcome some of these lower price pointed pieces. The fact that I also think they're two of the most cohesive and aesthetically pleasing pieces in the current range is more than just a bonus too.

Feels like the collectors have spoken, and LW has answered to me. Curious to know what everyone's thoughts are on these two new additions, and the revised pricing of LW?

I placed my order on the SpidoLite Carbon yesterday. Hoping to have the watch in a week or so! Very excited.. and now since I am only down to my AP Safari, I am in need of some versatility.

Will update with pictures ASAP :)

Can't wait to see the pictures mate! Think I may possibly end up with one too at some stage...

Are they produced and ready to ship?

The site says 4-week lead time, but I believe they have a few. Mine is being shipped tomorrow :)

    Such a terrible hobby.

Looks awesome mate! Can’t wait to see some more pics.

Does it have the Spider and numbers on the side of the case?

Going to take some tomorrow! Spider is on the crown, the model number and composite is on each side of the case. Going to see if Wisent Exquisite can cut down and stitch shut the long end of this old textile strap I just picked up. I should have never got rid of my XS straps! I have the rubber cut down to the smallest size. This is the first time I've had a LW deployant.. I am very happy with it. It forces the top end of the straps to bend and conform more then the tang, so it fits like a glove.. but I am on the last hole with a lot of excess.

Very happy with the watch. I feel there was always something I could nitpick about my previous LW's.. but now that I've had some time to reflect I think this is a 1 and done like my Safari. Will update tomorrow :)

This looks fantastic in the flesh! I love how the black screws and the gold hands make it a more interesting piece visually than the Tech 2 green.

Congratulations mate! Now we want to see the side of the case ;)

    Re: Linde Werdelin range reinvention

Stuck at work today, I'll make a thread with new pictures tomorrow. So my theory regarding this watch seems to be true. I am the last few digits out of 75. I believe they used a few for the Ripples and the remaining Tech Gold's were now converted with a black ceramic bezel off one of the various Spido models. I am totally fine with that. If you are trying to sell a Tech Green or Gold now, you may run into some trouble. This price point was perfect.

If they plan on customizing old inventory and doing a much more limited production going forward, I see this as becoming a huge success.
