    Bremont Kingsman Worth it?

    HI

I have been thinking about getting a Kingsman after seeing the movie. I am worried that its to much money for a watch after the movie.
Bremont keeps putting out special edition and I am not sure if they will even hold their value? But also have to say dont see many of the Kingsman up for sale used

    What do you think?

    Thanks

    Dave

I owned a cream ALT1-C for a year and sold it for my White SOLO. I wanted an all WHITE faced watch. Then the Kingsman was released and I have been circling the SS model ever since. Value is always going to be in the eye of the owner. I can tell you from personal experience that they are worth every penny and have stood up to hard wear more than my Submariner or Omega Seamaster ever did.

    Re: Bremont Kingsman Worth it?

I think that the idea of a watch holding its value is roughly analogous to asking whether a car will hold its value; both depreciate enough when you leave with it that you will almost certainly never get your investment back in a resale. Having said that, choosing a limited edition or short run watch is in your favor, since scarcity *may* lead to value if one day Bremont becomes the "it" brand and/or Kingsman becomes an incredibly popular franchise (a la James Bond and the Submariner).

I think you are not seeing many in the aftermarket because they are fairly new and people aren't flipping them yet. Give it some time.

The better question to ask is whether you like the watch well enough to pay the asking price, with the intent of wearing it for the rest of your life and never selling it? If not, that's okay. Some will make their way to the aftermarket eventually, possibly at a price point more to your liking. (Unless of course they become highly desirable; you roll the dice either way.)
